5 Reasons why McDonald’s Coke is better than PET Coke

Agree or not! Most of us do love relishing a glass of chilled, icy Coke at McDonald’s with our favorite big Mac and a pack of crispy French fries. What makes Coke at McDonald’s better than a pet bottle bought from a store, has for long remained a surprise for us all. But, no more! McDonald’s, one of India’s largest fast food joints has finally revealed information which confirms that Coke sold in its stores, does, in fact, taste better than that sold in the market.

A senior management professional, during an interview, revealed that at McDonald’s, their entire fleet simply follows the guidelines as set by Coca-Cola for preparing the beverage and take necessary steps to ensure it tastes that same as that’s sold in the market in pet bottles and cans.

But you know it’s not the same. It’s more magical and majestic!

Delivery – Delivery of Coke syrup to restaurants is mostly done in plastic packaging. To McDonald’s stores, it comes in stainless steel tanks. This aids in preserving the freshness of the ingredients of the syrup and giving it the same taste as always.

Temperature Control – McDonald’s pays much heed to maintain the temperature of the soda. For this, they ensure keeping the fountain beverage system cool, and the Coca-Cola and water syrup chilled before it’s poured in the fountain dispenser. The ratio of syrup is matched in a way that it allows the ice to melt and maintain the exact water consistency, as required.

Insulated Tubes – The fast food giant makes use of insulated tubes. These run from the fountain dispensers to the refrigeration units affixed on the back of the outlets. The temperature of the water that flows through these tubes is approximately above the freezing points, typically necessary for maintaining the best CO2 level. What’s the benefit? Such an arrangement makes the carbonation to last longer than usual.

Excellent Filtration – One of the best things about McDonald’s is that the company invests a huge amount in maintaining a good filtration system. A senior professional at McDonald’s claimed that, in order to maintain the gold standards, the fast food giant has installed proper filtration methods in place, across all its outlets operating all over India.

Straw – The straw? How does that make the Coke have a better taste? To this, experts at McDonald’s claim that their straw is slightly wider than ordinary ones, which in turn, ensures that the Coke tastes wonderful and reaches all your taste buds!
